The ST SSG – Small Studio Grand is a smaller Grand Piano, (6' 1") that give a tighter, more defined sound then a larger instrument. This instrument has depth and roundness in the bass register, rich midrange and a clear, crisp treble.

The Rain Piano was recorded after some extensive Tom Waits listening. Specially the ”Mule Variation” album, (great stuff!). I fell in love with the piano sound on that record and decided to make something in that line.

The Blue Grand is the perfect piano when you want something that’s a bit more mellow, old school and ambient sound. The great instrument used for the White Grand and White Sister, a large Malmsjo Grand, a 100 year old beauty, was here used to create their more soft spoken sister.

When recording a Rhodes piano, nearly all, (or all?), instruments that has been recorded for a sampled instrument are lined. That means that you take the signal from the instrument, and feed it directly to the recording device.

We sampled this legendary Electric Grand Piano in such detail that it will never need to be sampled again. 94.604 samples to be exact. The Electric Grand Piano is similar to a normal piano, except that the vibration of the strings is converted by electric pickups, similar to that of an Electric Guitar.

SOLO VIOLIN DESIGNER Virtual Instrument VST is a massive collection of over 4.000 phrases performed by renowned concert violinist: Thomas Yee. The intention of the library was to sample completely realistic solo violin by creating an incredible collection of musical phrases. We programmed the library in a way that gives you maximum control over the phrases and literally allows you to sculpt 100% realistic solo violin performances. It was deliberately designed to support, augment and in some cases replace existing solo violin libraries. Essentially this library takes over where normal multi-samples (ex. legato, sustains) can’t perform. This is what we call deep phrase-sampling.

This second instrumental pack in Splice Sessions: Senegal features the kora, a strikingly beautiful lute-bridge harp instrument synonymous with the culture of West Africa. The sound of a kora resembles that of a harp. Though when played in the traditional style, its sounds bear a closer resemblance to flamenco and Delta blues guitar techniques.

Freddy Harris III is back with another Splice Originals pack. For this edition, Harris, a steel pan aficionado, focused on crafting the sounds of the place he was raised: Trinidad. In this session, we added drums, bass, and guitar to create a full soca sound. Dig into the sounds of the islands to add a soulful, summer vibe to any production. The glimmering sounds of the steel pan bring brightness and soul.

This is our second sample pack with the Splice Gospel Choir led by Djore Nance. He conducted and arranged vocal parts for four singers on the spot with written chord progressions. The vocalists heard on this pack are Chenee Campbell, Jhetti Lashley, Rasul A-Salaam McPherson, and Djore Nance. You'll find a wide variety of vocal harmonies, adlibs, riffs, and more.
