The instruments in Gh'nuhan take you on a ethnic/fantasy journey through a collection of “imaginary” instruments, pad and textures. The instruments and sounds in Gh'nuhan are created from a collection of recordings of woodwinds, snare and strings, mallets and all kinds of percussive instruments that are processed through various effects and processes to create new sounds.

Fission A is a new library for Kontakt 6 and is inspired by works of Hildur Guðnadóttir and specially her soundtrack for the outstanding HBO serie Chernobyl. This library is created together with the Fission B library for Omnisphere 2. Both use the same soundsources, but are meant to be complimentary.

Bringing majestic melodies to your compositions Ever since we started our phrase-based sampling odyssey there’s been something we’ve longed to capture: The slow and stately sound of strings melodies, woodwind chord ensembles and smooth brass lines have been on our wish-list for years. Now, we present “Largo”, where we have finally created a set of performances that typify the kind of scoring of classic film scores and historical features. The emphasis here is on strong thematic writing with smooth, yet dramatic transitions between the notes.

Many people assume that Sonokinetic’s signature sound is grand and statuesque, as we fill our recording space with many talented players and layer phrases together in our bespoke Kontakt engines. However, sometimes it’s great to dial things down for a more personal feel, and that’s just what we’ve done with Indie. The style of these intimate ensemble phrases take their lead from modern TV drama, boutique film and independent video games with a naked and personal sound.

We've always loved the sound of jazz-influenced film scores. The orchestral approach to jazz harmony has a romantic flair that is irresistible and has easily stood the test of time. We just can't get enough of sweeping string passages, the sound of a trumpet's harmon mute, a big band sax section, flugelhorn and trombones with french horns. For many years we've felt the urge to create a product encompassing this style of music and now we have:

Recording these Carillon bells was a challenge, but one which we relished. These are real clock tower bells weighing up to half a ton on the biggest set, so it's a very powerful sound which we captured in great detail. Once we had managed to get these large bells into the studio (with the help of some heavy lifting equipment) we set about recording them with two different mallet types.

Finding the right bells for Chime sent us on a magical mystery tour to source authentic antiques. We didn’t want to record factory machined bells but rather remastered hand-cast copies of original clock bells from 17th and 18th century clocks.

Known as the meditative musical sound of tranquility, the bowls we recorded for this instrument have a magical quality and emit pure frequencies. These quartz crystal glass bowls give off such a lush and dreamy tone that we had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the recording. We sampled 4 bowls of varying sizes from 20cm to 25cm diameter, struck with a glass mallet with a rubber finish.

Orgone 2 began as an experiment around the thought "what would a Hammond organ with sawtooth waves sound like ?" Slowly the idea grew into a huge modular machine that combines multisampled waveforms from several classic synths into a 1GB+ Kontakt sample instrument that goes way beyond the possibilities of any of the originals.

South is the new library featuring authentic Folk Percussive Sequences and Individual Percussion Instruments directly taken from Southern Italian Tradition. Several tambourine sizes and types used, including traditional Tammorra, Pizzica and even a custom Tar. All loops are tempo synced. Individual sustained instruments are multisampled and have multiple round robins. Additional rolls and effects are included.

LEGENDARY BASS - SAMPLED Eurobass II is a virtual bass instrument which captures the legendary, unique, punchy sound of a Spector Euro 5 LX. Its throaty tone is perfectly suited to unleashing raw thudding power in your music - equally at home with grinding drop tuned metal as it is with swinging country rock.

Modern Ensemble Drum Library Medusa is a modern ensemble drum library created for trailer producers as well as film, game and television composers. Musical Sampling also made it a point to smack the living snot out of the drums for the top velocities. Couldn't really be in that room without a good set of closed cans if you valued your hearing. Blisters weren't uncommon either.
