Remember Seinfeld? Remember that poppin’ slap bass sound all over the show – in the titles, in the end credits, in every sting and transition? Well, this is the little box of tricks that made that sound. The 360 Systems MIDI Bass was an early sampled bass unit, later upgraded to a Pro version that rackmounted. It was a limited but (for its time) powerful-sounding machine that had swappable EPROMS to access additional sounds. We managed to score an original tabletop MIDI Bass plus a set of EPROMS covering a range of both classic and unusual sounds with a distinctly 80s vibe. There is, of course, ‘that’ Seinfeld Slap bass; but if you don’t fancy reliving the glory days of American comedy, there are seven other sounds to choose from – a great Fender Jazz bass, through a punchy 80s synth bass to a rather cool Stick bass (think Tony Levin playing Peter Gabriel’s live gigs and you’ve got it)… and more.

The Synare is an analog drum synth created in the mid 70s by Star Instruments. It looks and sounds like the most evil, analog flying saucer you've ever heard. We took an amazing sounding vintage Gretsch kit, miced it with vintage mics and recorded to tape with tube gear. Just enough grit for both modern and vintage productions!

Drawbar 350 is a transistor drawbar organ whose 8 voices are sampled from the original Dubreq Stylophone 350S - a professional version of the Stylophone with eight onboard voicings covering three sounds (Woodwind, Strings and Brass), plus vibrato, two styli, and a light-sensitive wah-wah control.

While the original Stylophone 350S employed toggle-switches to switch its tones in or out, the Rhythmic Robot Drawbar 350 replaces these with 12-stage drawbars, allowing a much more sophisticated tonal palette to be created by blending the raw tones. There is also control over envelope attack and release, and a batch of processing tailored to the aggressive transistor character of the raw samples. These include Anger (a tube drive), Fury (a Skreamer distortion pedal), Vibe (for vibrato) and Bite (which rolls the top end off if you want to tame things). Amp Cab simulation rounds out the effects and can help the Drawbar 350 to sit in a mix, giving it a convincing "live" sound.
