This Tonex Capture pack aims to recreate the sound of the HM-30 from Tyler Amps. The famous DC-30 but…better? A few years ago this was exactly the mission that Tyler Amps set out on and we think they did a pretty fantastic job. The Matchless DC-30 is no stranger to the spotlight; its majestic and bright chime combined with its impressive ability to break up and never become harsh earned it the god-tier status in amp lore that it deserves…but it always lacked one thing… a little bit of body. Enter Tyler Amps. By recreating the famous Matchless Sampson-Era circuit (with a few of their own tweaks) and pairing it with their own custom-designed speakers, Tyler was somehow able to take the renowned DC-30 and make it better by allowing the same chime and smooth breakup but giving it some bottom end. In this capture pack, you can grab all of the amazing tones that this amp produces on both the 12AX7 channel and the EF86 channel as well as have the channels jumped!

Do you like the sound of old-school cranked Marshall's? Of course you do. This pack gives you all of that tone from an unlikely place. The Trainer BASSMSTR pack seeks to capture the sound of a Traynor YBA-1 Mod Bass Master. Although it was originally designed as a bass amp, the 1970's produced YBA-1 became famous among guitar players because of its Marshall-like breakup. Guitarists would traditionally modify their YBA-1 amps and swap out the 6L6 tubes for EL34's, jump the channels, and send this amp into orbit with its incredible range of gain; thus earning it the nickname “The Marshall Killer”. Traynor caught wind of this and after nearly 40 years reissued the YBA-1 as a guitar amp with EL34s and instead of jumping channels they offered it as cascading volume controls on the front of the amp that can be run in series or parallel for a huge range of gain. At lower gain, the breakup of the amp is very comparable to a JTM-45. When the gain is pushed the amp ascends into dimed JCM800 territory. All of the crushing cranked amp tones are available in this pack!

Seeking to recreate the sound of a 1980 Marshall Super Bass with a Lenz #36 Mod. The mod is trying to recreate the legendary S.I.R. #36 Amp that was modded by Frank Levi and used by Slash on Guns n Roses Appetite For Destruction. Perfect for any Slash fan with the ToneX software or pedals!

Do you like the spank? Then you'll love this one! Hailing from the brains of Dr. Z and Brad Paisley is the StangRay. The StangRay was the second collaboration between Dr. Z and Brad Paisley after the smashing success of the Perscription RX that was built for Brad. The StangRay was designed to automatically give a punchy and spanky tone to its player without needing to use a compressor to add more spank. This is why they chose the EF86 preamp tube. This amp spanks and does a great job at it. The best way to think about it is like channel two of a Matchless DC30. However, this amp is a little special compared to a DC30 because its output transformer was designed by Ken Fischer of Trainwreck Amps. So, this amp is a little bit like the Z Wreck before the Z Wreck was a thing. The amp loves to be clean but also loves to be pushed. It can get a lot of gain going in the preamp while maintaining its clarity which is wonderful for players like Brad. In this capture pack, we captured the rawness and liveliness of the StangRay perfectly. For guys who frequently fawn over the Paisley tone, we certainly could not stop smiling while creating this pack and we are positive it will make you smile as well!
