"The sub bass, or "808" is one of the driving forces behind modern music. Whether it's TRAP, dance, pop or r&b, bass texture usually plays an important role. The 2 basic characteristics of the "808" bass are overtone and timbre. Here, I've created a collection of textured 808 sub bass one-shots using state of the art sine-wav manipulation, each with its own unique and distinctive qualities, based on "key", "tone", "attack" & "sustain". This collection of very special 808s is sure to play an important role in any and all of your own personal productions, for years to come." - !llmind

"I've always thought of my drums as an orchestra. I like to create a melody with my drums when I play. I like to make them sing." Tony Allen needs no introduction. He revolutionised the musical landscape of an entire continent influencing the course of Western pop music. Born in Lagos in 1940 Tony never took up traditional African percussion. Listening to the recordings of the great American bebop drummers Art Blakey and Max Roach, he invented a technique that he gradually refined by honing his command of the cymbals, in particular the hi-hat, little used by African drummers - and the tom-toms.

Four fresh plugins that punch to the maximum, in a micro setting. Sometimes it feels like plugins are made by programmers who don't actually put long hours in to their own music. That's the first thing that's special about the Radical Devices - programmer and touring artist Raffael Willi AKA Jumpstreet made these tools to bring precious speed and efficiency his own studio sessions - plus some special wobble to his ultra-Psychedelic sound.
