A wonderful recreation of this rare vintage instrument. The Purgatory Creek Soundware Pianet N was deeply sampled at eight velocity levels recorded for the full duration. The electro-mechanical piano, upon which this sample-set is based, was manufactured between 1965 and 1967. It is a rare reed-based instrument.

The Purgatory Creek Soundware Pianet T is an excellent recreation of this popular keyboard. It was deeply sampled at eight velocity levels recorded for the full duration. Manufactured between 1977 and 1982, the Pianet T was popular as a light-weight alternative to larger, heavier electro-mechanical pianos. While its sound is not as tonally expressive as other instruments, it does possess a unique, intimate sound.

An authentic recreation of probably the most popular version of this classic piano. The Mark II (1980) was sampled at 16 velocity levels for full duration. The Mark II piano was noted for its modular action and Schaller tines, which give it a different sound than the earlier models. The Purgatory Creek Soundware Mark II (1980) beautifully captures the tone of the original.

A wonderful recreation of this classic, funk keyboard. Each of the four pickups of D6 was sampled at a minimum of 16 velocity levels for full duration. The model D6 was by far the most popular version of the instrument and can be heard on many recordings from the 1970s and beyond.

In a broad sense, it doesn't try to emulate the classic supersaw sound but I think it's interesting how layering detuned saw oscillators turns a static sound into a moving texture. I have been wondering how would it sound if you detuned other parameters, not just pitch. For example, you could also detune filters, LFO frequency, effects etc...
