70s Session Superstar is a collection of over 300 grooves, loops, and one-shots from the incredible drummer Steve Taylor, recorded at the legendary Livingston Studios in London. The kit used is a beautiful Ludwig Classic, with 10, 12, 13, and 16-inch toms, a 22-inch kick, and tightly tuned Maple Birch and Yamaha Custom snares.

We listened to all of our favorite classic video game sounds and recreated modern interpretations of them from scratch using xfer serum. The pack includes 100 audio samples and the serum presets we used to make them so you can learn how we created each sound. You will be transported to a familiar dungeons and bonus cloud levels but with a modern twist.

Any DAW will allow you to follow along with the instructions in the videos. The file called “Raw Voice for Editing Practice.wav” was demonstrated in Reaper (voice editing) and the four “Music editing” files was demonstrated in Ableton Live (music editing). For music editing, the files should be loaded onto 4 separate tracks, and they should be time-aligned. The easiest way to do that is to align the 4 files at the beginning of the timeline, as seen in “Part 2” of the video workshop.
