Soul Surplus presents “Broken Vinyl,” by the incomparable artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Dave James with help again on trumpet from Larry Mack. These textures are dusty and degraded, but also in a resampled style that provides intense harmonic qualities that are primed for quick idea creation as well as more involved production. Use the melodies and harmonies of stacked vocal pads and the lead riffs of the horns as stand out sounds in your production. The Soul Surplus team presents “Bonjour Amor: Cinematic Soul,” a special release inspired by classic 70s European soul soundtracks. For this sample collection Found Sound Nation teamed up with master daf (frame drum) player, Tarık Aslan, and self-taught luthier and craftsman, Ruşen Can Acet, to create a set of dynamic percussive Daf loops and intoxicating melodies played on one of the oldest Turkish bowed instruments - the kabak kemane. This set of samples was recorded in Istanbul by Tarık and Ruşen and features hand-built instruments made by the performers themselves.

"Nature has always been my biggest inspiration when I compose," says Copenhagen-based violinist/composer Andreas Bernitt. Symbiosis: Nature's Symphony is an exciting new cinematic pack inspired by the relationship between nature and music, exploring elements such as wind and water and how the interrelate to musical compositions. This pack was recorded in May 2023 in a studio in Copenhagen, Denmark and field recordings were captured in the nature surrounding the city.
