The Paul Mabury library is a collection of Paul’s favorite drums, tuned in his style, and recorded at the legendary Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, TN. Make your way around the kit with a variety of authentic kicks, snares, toms, cymbals, and auxiliaries. Paul’s drums are vintage in vibe, but modern in application. Neon is a Concept library put together by producer and mixer extraordinaire, Chris Zane. As the name suggests, these drums are bright, bold and powerful. They are loud and proud. These drums are quite a bit more colorful - which ultimately makes them more serviceable and more beneficial. Abstract expressionist painter, Jackson Pollock once said, “Every good artist paints what he is.” Neon is a direct reflection of its designer, Chris Zane. Albums like ‘Matter’ and ‘When the Night’ by Indie Rock legends, St. Lucia demonstrate Chris’s unique producing and mixing style. Neon is full of drums with beautiful ironies and great stories. For example, some of the drums are old but explosive. Some of them are tight and dead without being meek or quiet. The centerpiece of the library is CZ’s custom Eames kit - handmade by Bay Stater, Joe Mac. And then of course, is all the gear - vintage Neves, Pultecs, API, Chandler, old Neumanns, AKG as well as some amazing UAD plugins. All of this comes together to serve as a tasteful tribute to the live room in NYC where Chris has made every record for over 16 years. He is recognized as one of the most passionate and talented drummers in music and the only thing more brilliant than his playing is his unique approach to capturing his sound. We spent days in the lab with Darren pulling together one of the coolest and most beloved samples libraries in our catalog. Unpolished and filthy in the best way possible, Darren’s drums are processed and pushed hard through API pre amps, various compressors, and Studer and Teac tape heads. These days, it feels like every kid with a computer is taking (already recorded) drums, adding some compression, some verb, some effects, and calling themselves a sound designer. Don't be fooled by it. As it relates to sound design, Francesco is as pure as they come. He began producing music at the age of 14 and spent his subsequent years learning the nuances of electronic sound and film scoring at the Conservatory in Italy. Not long into his musical journey, he started to understand that in order to create he needed to listen. This set him on a path of self-discovery - listening to what was around him and paying attention to what was in front of him. He soon realized anything could be a musical instrument if he listened well. From here, he began designing sounds from everyday household objects. A printer, a bike, a drill, a water bottle, a spray can, an iPhone, a lamp, a banana ... yes, a banana. The world around him opened up and everything was at play. Francesco maintains that by starting with the most basic objects you already possess, your songs (and the process by which you make them) become instantly more unpredictable.

This classic novel beautifully interplays the disputation and dissonance of the good and evil natures that exist inside the human psyche.
