In this second course in our Eurorack series, synthesis expert DivKid (A.K.A. Ben Wilson) explores the nature of the all-important Mixer and Filter modules. Learn how to use them in these exclusive hands-on tutorials!

Ben starts by looking at the CP3 mixer from Manhattan Analog. After explaining the differences between linear and exponential mixing, he reveals how to shape your sound through filtering. Using Manhattan Analog’s Discrete SVVCF module, Ben demonstrates all the different filter flavors: Low Pass, High Pass, Band Pass and Notch. You also discover other filter modules such as the MiniMod Transistor Ladder Filter from AJH Synth, the Humpback filter from God’s Box and the Dtech VCF from Erica Synths.
