Not only does this pack have traditional instruments and techniques used on them but it also spans into realm of possibility and experimentation. Where most new music and art comes from. The realm of possibility. Like taking a metal scraping instrument called Guira played in Merengue from Dominican Republic and infusing a trap hi hat pattern on it, this Culture Alchemy pack series will add a new twist on percussion packs that has rarely been implemented in creating percussion samples for today's modern music maker.

Elysium is a brand new sample pack in the ever-growing Soul Surplus library of sounds. Heavenly chords progressions, filled with strings, choirs, soaring synths and gleeful guitar strums. The classic sounds of the streets come straight to your library with Concrete Jungle. Inspired by Jazz-Rap/Golden Era Hip Hop samples from the early 90’s that contained so many instruments chopped up from vinyl. The Soul Surplus team intentionally crafted smooth yet gritty loops that are full of musicality and instrumentation giving ode to a time that was all about sampling.

Recorded in various locations in Zimbabwe in April 2018 these recordings from diff session musicians and artists span the sound of 2,000 year old Shona music being played today. The Mbira is a finger piano of incredible depth and texture. Also featured are field recordings of the jungle, distant vocals from a Pygmy tribe, and an incredible earth bow string instrument that has never been released before.
