Welcome to Matthew MacFarlane's beginner guitar video course. Matthew is a musician, composer and music producer. He has been teaching guitar to learners of all ages since 2009 and now finally, his experience is also available in video form. This beginner's course is the starting point for further courses to come.

This course is for learners who have no previous experience in playing the guitar. It is set up in an easy to follow step by step approach. You will learn about : the parts of the guitar

The videos are set up so that you can easily follow the music on screen while you play. Backing tracks are provided for an authentic and fun "play along" music experience.

Follow the lessons in the order that they are arranged. Once you have completed a lesson and can play to a satisfactory level, move on to the next lesson until you have completed the entire course.

This course will give you a strong foundation in playing the guitar. From here on you will be able to move on to the higher level courses with confidence.
