Groove3 Lethal Synth Explained

Groove3 Lethal Synth Explained

Join veteran Groove3 instructor Larry Holcombe for a detailed look at Lethal Synth, from scrolling presets to building your own patches. Known for its versatility and massive sound library, this synth can be a one-stop-shop for many, and with this Lethal Synth course, you'll learn everything you need to know in order to start using it right away. From drums and strings to pianos and synths, you'll learn how to make any sound and shape it to perfection. These Lethal Synth videos are designed for new Lethal Synth users.

Larry welcomes you and begins with a tour of the interface, so you'll know how the instrument is laid out. Then it's on to the Library tab, where we select, organize, and save our own presets and build banks of sounds. The Amp section follows, where you'll learn about the envelope, LFO modulation, and more.

Next, explore the filter and hear how many of the same features (envelope, LFO) affect it, along with the ability to change the curves of the envelope parameters. Then, Larry demonstrates the Pitch section, where you can modulate the pitch via an envelope or LFO.

There's more to come, too, including the different modes (Noise, Unison, and Play), Arpeggiator (for creating rhythmic sequences with chords), Trancegate (for creating choppy rhythms), FX section (with six effects), Source section (using mod wheel or aftertouch for modulation, etc.), and more! Larry finishes up with two sound design videos: drum sounds and other sounds created by altering presets.

Lethal Synth is an instrument with massive potential for handling the lion's share of your instrument needs.
