Note Alter is a very simple yet very powerful line processor for incoming MIDI notes and velocities. It does exactly what it says on the tin really, it alters notes! The notes and velocities can be altered as one or separately as required.

WTFM is not an FM synthesizer in the traditional sense. Rather it is a hybrid synthesizer which uses the flexibility of Wavetables in combination with FM synthesizer Operators.

Any LPG - is a Low pass gate effect, which can be used to produce various tuned percussion sounds such as a congas, bongos, steel drums, marimba, plucks, etc. LPG processes the original signal using the control trigger signal (which opens the gate). This is a legendary effect known in the modular world as the "Buchla Bongo" sound effect and was a very popular sound-design tool used by the pioneers of electronic music. The effect continues to be used today by modern electronic musicians using Eurorack/Buchla modules. LPG also enables the creation of natural-sounding decays.

Although named as such, the TSM 2040z Sub LowPass Filter is not a typical Low Pass Filter. Such filters stem from the era of the earliest polyphonic synthesizers. Vocoders rely on two signals being present at the same time in order to operate. These signals are the Carrier signal, which normally takes the form of a synth, and the Modulator signal, which normally takes the form of a human voice, although other instruments can work well (such as drums).
