here's a little secret weapon for getting your house/garage drums right.

BUT - all those records that have those really chunky hat loops with that nice flow - this gets you there sonically fast. pick good top loops/hats, apply groove, and do the following:

how to use:

take all your top loops/hats/shuffle elements and run them through this bad boy. be gentle - it's very exciting and can knock your mix into harsh territory. might not be a move to sidechain them a bit either.

turn the amount up, and play with the top 4 controls. the thresholds/above ratio are set well right now, but try messing with them if you're not getting it to vibe right. the TIGHTEN one is nice too.
