As a follow up to Kaoru Watanabe's Japanese Percussion pack, he returns to Splice sharing with all of us the mystic sounds of Japanese flutes. After spending a decade in Japan studying Japanese percussion and flutes and a grueling two-year apprenticeship, he became a member of the internationally acclaimed Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble Kodo.

In our time making sample packs, we've been no strangers to rare and peculiar gear. Three of the rarest drum machines we've ever sampled are the MPC1, TOM, & Dr. Bohm. We hand-picked our favorite sounds from these packs to make this exclusive Splice pack to preserve the legacy and musicality of these special machines.

5AM & ZONE Drums present Foley Loaded: an hybrid drum pack comprised of live kit samples layered and stacked with gritty layers of found sounds and foley. Volume 3 of our destroyed 808 style booming kicks! This time around we added a bunch of new Eurorack modules and drum machine bass drums. We ran these new sounds as well as the kicks from volume 1 and; 2 through two new pieces of gear. The rare, 8-bit, aliasing machine the OTO Biscuit and the ultra wild Sherman Filterbank. All the new additions are offered as clean sounds like always so you can process them how you'd like. Boooooom.

We are diving back in with another collection of raw cymbals! This time around ZONE DRUMS recorded his stash of rides, crashes, splashes, hi-hats, and more, keeping the natural decay intact and only minimal processing done to the sounds. Add these cymbals to your productions and fill the gap with what you've been missing.

Deep Data Loops return with 300 funky bassline WAV loops. Half of them are bass guitar loops and the other half are made with synthesizers. The guitar ones are formed with different amps and processing units to serve different flavors in sound. Even more characteristics can be found in the synth bass folder.

Step into a sonic time machine with Nostalgic Beats - Lofi Electronica, a meticulously crafted sample pack designed to transport your music to an era where analog warmth meets digital innovation. This collection blends the soulful essence of lofi hip hop with the futuristic vibes of electronica, perfect for creating tracks that require dreamy and experimental vibes.

This pack contains a series of flute etudes composed by Los Angeles based woodwind musician Michael Sachs. The compositions showcase Michael's range on the instrument; they are both filmic and pop friendly in their sensibilities and harmonic choices. Producer Charles Van Kirk has taken these pieces and broken them down into granular fragments and lush ambient pads usinga combination of outboard delay pedals, analog summing mixers and in-the-box time based effects. The results clearly come from a human being, but have been twisted and stretched into ethereal places inspired by the wind and timbre of the instrument.

So we knew that we needed some percussion samples to go along with our 12-Bit drums so we dove into our stash and recorded over 50 instruments as one shots. We then ran them through our favourite 12-bit samplers, the SP-12, S950 and the extra crunchy DDD-1. Done in digital drum machine style with single one-shot action, these samples are perfect for peppering in on boom-bap to 80's styled beats. 12-Bit Percussion.

Ben Satterlee, the Nashville drum coach is back with another healthy pack of drum one-shots from his acoustic drum stash. Load up these all-new kicks, snares and hats and instantly create hard hitting boom bap beats.

So we wanted to do something special with our 808 sound set. This time we aren't using any 12-bit samplers or cassette, but vinyl! We pressed the entire sound set to a nice 7" that plays at 45rpm, wore it out a little bit and then sampled it through our outboard gear. The resulting sounds are the classic 808 with a nice gritty character that only comes from well used records. Vinyl 808.

We love drums of the late 80's and early 90's. Those unmistakable, chunky lo-fi percussive sounds with instant character. So we took kicks, snares and hats and ran them through the E-mu Sp-12 and also the Korg DDD-1 12-bit samplers. Twelve Bit Drums Volume 1.

Gritty, junky, ultra lo-fi. We ran the most famous analog drum machine ever, The Roland TR-808, through some very interesting samplers this time around. The Gemini 1224, a 90's lo-fi DJ unit, The Boss SP-202 in Lofi-1 mode and the sought after, super nasty Yamaha VSS-30. Junk 808.

For this pack we recorded our huge collection of cowbells from brands like Latin Percussion, Meinl, Ludwig and Zildjian. Every bell was recorded as a completely open tone with natural decay so you can process the sounds as you want but we've also included a few different methods of dampening as well, handheld, magnets and fabric wristbands.
