During the Autumn of 2023 Michael Askill, a highly prolific and accomplished Australian percussionist was introduced to sound designer/composer (and regular Splice contributor) Liam Fox O’Brien. The two met at Michael’s home studio in Mullumbimby, Australia to connect over their shared love of rare musical instruments and conduct a 3-day long field-recording session.

Electronic Body Movements is a raw, unapologetic dive into the sound of EBM and industrial techno. This pack is built for producers who demand gritty, pounding rhythms and dark, hypnotic textures. Expect a heavy dose of distorted basslines, slamming drums, and warped synths that cut through the mix with razor-sharp precision. Pulsing sequences, metallic percussion, and relentless modular loops channel the mechanical energy of underground dance floors. From hard-hitting kicks to eerie atmospheres, FO4 delivers the sound of pure movement - designed to make bodies sweat and speakers rattle.

The time has come to close this haunted jazz club so here’s the final volume of the series filled with 20 compositions. Let’s finish it with a mix of dark ambiances, lofi chords, winds, some old tape noises, discrete chimes and a dusty mellotron.
