Moment Hyperbounce A San Moment

Hyperbounce is a passionate microscene that’s been evolving since ~2020, building on the wonky, swung bass music of past Soundcloud generations (sometimes known as “bounce”), but introducing modern dubstep’s spectral tech, underground rap’s distorted rage and hyperpop’s maximalism. Dutch producer san has been pioneering this sound since before it had a name, alongside carbine and scorpiioh, inspiring a new school of young producers in their wake. His 2025 debut album ‘filename’, which features kuru and gunk, marks a new chapter in the story of san: shifting focus from technical chops to writing songs, with his vocals at the center. 

san’s past kits and FL presets have been central to building the scene, but this is the first to bring ‘#HYPERBOUNCE’ to Splice. A comprehensive bass catalog covers massive loops, growls, stabs, and fills, all ringing with tuned harmonics that blur the line between sound design and melody. Blown-out drums swerve in and out of time to create novel pockets, while synths span the gamut between catchy melodies and serene ambiences. These sounds come from one specific scene but will easily translate anywhere.
