Soweto Singers is a 2 part sample pack series explores the traditional South African styles of Zulu and Xhosa music. These styles are performed mostly in acapella (with guitars on select loops) and recorded right in Soweto, South Africa. Soweto Singers Vol. 2 features Xhosa singing styles and sounds like Ukombela, Ukugqokola (throat singing), and Ukugwija. The vocal stylings have special rhythms that have distinctive clicks that come from the Xhosa language. Dive into the Soweto experience with 14 Melodic Loops, and one-shots to accompany, filled with the bliss and soulfulness of Xhosa music. This pack also features Zulu singing styles, specifically “Umculo wesintu” (meaning folk music). Soweto Singers is a rich celebration of traditional South African music and singing styles.
