Moment Caustic Materials, a 0khz moment
0khz is a experimental musician and programmer interested in audio-visual work and sound design tools. They have previously released two projects under the alias ‘bean boy’—album ’parsing the noise’ and the EP ‘creature’—with their debut music and visual album as 0khz, ‘Discontinuity at the Origin’, coming later this year. A member of legendary internet-hardcore-collective 909 Worldwide and alumni of Dylan Brady’s Dog Show Records, their distinct approach to dance music through mangled and deconstructed sound design has carved out a lane in the internet’s underground electronic scene.
‘Caustic Materials’ is 100% lab-grown and synthesized from scratch—using custom programming and software synthesis. Like audio poison dart frogs, these sounds are bright, beautiful and highly toxic. From pristine, euphoric trance melodies to morphed, full-spectrum bass snarls, from hi-res glossy rubber to polished metal, this pack’s textures will infect your projects with a lasting sonic imprint.
We weren’t able to reach 0khz for comment, but found the following warnings on their lab door:
THE LAB (AS DEFINED IN SECTION 2.1) MAY EMIT FREQUENCIES HARMFUL TO HUMANS ON DAYS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO WEDNESDAYS, THURSDAYS, AND BIRTHDAYS.
0KHZ IS INTERESTED IN SOUNDS ABLE TO PRODUCE EFFECTS SUCH AS HALLUCINATION, SPIRITUAL AWAKENING, AND INVOLUNTARY MOVEMENT OF THE MUSCLES MOST COMMONLY ASSOCIATED WITH BOWEL MOVEMENTS.
0KHZ IS CURRENTLY CONSIDERING YOU FOR THE POSITION OF ‘NEXT TEST SUBJECT’
