The expansive production of the young London-based artist J Rick has defined a new era of British rap. His debut mixtape, "No Retreat, No Surrender", inspired by his uncle and hero, boxer Errol Christie, won widespread critical acclaim. Noisey described his breakout single "Party Here" as "a defining track in the cross-genre melange that makes up forward-thinking, left-leaning modern UK rap."
