Ancient Greek Strings is a fantastic collection of 7 deeply sampled stringed instruments that delve deeply into the historic roots of Western musical traditions, stretching back thousands of years. This library features a Barbiton, Cithara, Lyre, Goat Horn Lyre, Pandura, Phorminx and Trigonon. Crafted of wood, gut and goat skins, these classic musical artifacts capture the sound and spirit of classical Greek civilization at its height. The influence they have had on modern harps, guitars and zithers is clearly audible and plain to see in these faithful reconstructions. Each piece was hand-crafted by master craftsman Panagiotis Stefos of LyrΑvlos in Athens. Stefos and his team played each instrument, all recorded in exquisite detail by producer John Valasis, with 8 round-robins and 4 dynamic velocities per string.

Ancient Greek Percussion is a fantastic collection of 6 deeply sampled hand percussion instruments that explore the oldest roots of Western musical traditions, stretching back thousands of years – and likely with roots that easily predate all of recorded history. This library features a Crotalum, Kymbalon, Sistrum, 15-inch Tympanon, 22-inch Tympanon, and Tympanon Zill. Crafted of wood, gut, goat skins and bronze, these rustic musical artifacts capture the sound and soul of classical Greek musical craftsmanship at its peak. Their influence has shaped modern frame drums, riqs, dafs, tambourines and finger cymbals. Each piece was hand-crafted by master instrument maker and musical historian Panagiotis Stefos of LyrΑvlos in Athens. Stefos and his team played each instrument, all recorded in exquisite detail by producer John Valasis, with up to 12 round-robins and 10 dynamic velocities per articulation.

Soundiron's Jewel Empire II captures the versatility and specific character of the GEM Imperial II electronic organ. The GEM series of instruments were manufactured by GeneralMusic in Italy sometime during the late 80s and early 90s. The GEM Imperial II is a large electronic organ with two keybeds and a large variety of voice tabs, a dedicated Bass voice section, and drawbars to control a lot of voice functions. Our Jewel Empire II features a large selection of sustains and staccatos – both normal and bass – to capture the varied character of this Italian instrument. We recorded the instrument articulations in wide stereo and direct line in. After that, we crafted twenty evolving atmospheric pads from the source content to enhance the versatility. The Jewel Empire II has versatility and character that makes it a good addition to any composer’s sonic palette.
