The History
There were three main versions of the Odyssey. The first white-faced models were manufactured from 1972, then the black and gold face from 1974. The model that we've sampled is a black and orange faced 2821 from about 1979.

Warm analogue sub-basses underpin evolving moog inspired arpeggios, dusty tape driven drum loops groove and twist supporting the dancing synth lead lines. All of which is impressively rounded of by the star of the show, the deep as an ocean delayed guitar phrases which add a sense of drama and occasion.

The Energy Bow Guitar library is an expressive Kontakt instrument made from recordings of a Fender American Standard Strat played with an E‑Bow. Sampled chromatically from a drop tuned D2 to A5. We fitted a Seymour Duncan Little '59 humbucker for extra sustain and everything was recorded cleanly through an Inward Connections Vac Rac 4000 pre-amp. 24 Bit/44.1kHz.

"Elements: Analog Drums" is the second library in our series "Elements". This small yet useful volume contains drum one-shots designed purely with analog synthesizers. The usability of these drums spreads across many styles and genres – from trailer and industrial to pop and lounge. We also added our signature Nine Drum Industrial Kit – recorded with 9 different keyboard synths including Korg, Yamaha, Casio, etc.

Strained Wire + Garotte

The Strained Wire + Garotte was created using 4 metre lengths of wire and nylon line trimmer stretched tightly over a bridge and sound board. This was struck, picked, hit with a mallet, bowed and generally tortured. A tuning turnbuckle was incorporated to allow tuning of the instrument.

Umlaut Audio has released a new drum loop library, uBEAT, for Native Instrument’s Kontakt software.

Combining a traditional MIDI file library with an eight-pad drum machine-style instrument, Umlaut developers say uBEAT offers “an intuitive workflow and three distinctive styles” to choose from – modern hip-hop, “pulsating” electro and “genre-bending” hybrid.

Handrums is our new library featuring a wide selection of Drum Instruments released playing drums with hands, fingers and other body parts. As a result we obtained a drum sound with a marked raw and tribal character.
