Ambient Soundware Evolved is the next generation of the original Ambient Soundware library, reimagined as a powerful instrument for the full version of Kontakt 8.3. Built from a 3.2GB collection of ambient atmospheres, pads, arps, textures and harmonic layers, Ambient Soundware Evolved transforms this rich sonic material into a dynamic, performance-driven instrument.

What was once a collection of beautifully crafted ambient sounds is now a fully interactive engine for shaping depth, movement and musical atmosphere in real time. Designed with a strong focus on harmonic content and tonal richness, the instrument allows you to create lush soundscapes, evolving beds and detailed backgrounds with ease.

At the core of Ambient Soundware Evolved is a custom wavetable synthesis engine that unlocks new harmonic and textural possibilities from the original recordings. Soft pads, shimmering arpeggios, and evolving textures can be reshaped, layered, and animated with precision. By combining wavetable synthesis with layered sample playback, along with modulation, filtering, envelopes, and EQ, the engine brings subtle motion and expressive control to every sound.

The original Ambient Soundware library was known for its lush atmospheres, harmonic depth, and unobtrusive yet detailed textures, ideal for building foundations or enhancing existing compositions. Ambient Soundware Evolved builds on that foundation, transforming a versatile collection of sounds into a fully playable instrument capable of generating evolving environments, cinematic backdrops, and refined ambient textures for modern production.

SNAPSHOT PRESETS
Ambient Soundware Evolved includes a collection of 100 newly designed snapshots that expand the original library into a modern scoring instrument. They are divided into 4 categories:

Arp: Rhythmic and fluid, the Arps category delivers pulsing sequences that bring motion and energy to your compositions. Each preset evolves organically through the engine, blending layers of arp sequences to create intricate, tempo-synced patterns.

Atmospheres: The Atmospheres category focuses on expansive, evolving soundscapes that unfold gradually over time. These presets combine layered samples and synthesis to create immersive environments full of depth and detail.

Combos: The Combos category brings together arps, chords, and pad sequences into cohesive, tempo-synced layers. These presets create complex, evolving soundscapes where rhythm, harmony, and texture move together in perfect sync.

Wavetables: Created entirely using the synth layer, these presets showcase the wavetable engine with digital effects, expressive synth tones and synthesised instrument-style sounds.

BUILT FOR MOVEMENT
At the heart of Ambient Soundware Evolved lies a custom wavetable synthesizer, powered by bespoke wavetables created using the OSS Wavetable Creator by Ocean Swift Synthesis. The synth layer can reinforce the tonal centre of a drone, introduce rhythmic modulation, or add shimmering high-frequency content above the original sampled textures.

This hybrid approach blends the organic depth of recorded sound with the expressive flexibility of modern synthesis, enabling complex tonal movement that continuously transforms over time.
